Introduction
MCH Unit is the focal point for Maternal and Child health in Kandy District. This unit is responsible for Planning,Coordination,Monitoring and Evaluation Of the MCH and Family planning services in the national family health programme.
Maternal And Child Health
Maternal Health is the health of women during pregnancy,child birth and the post partum period. Maternal health care services are mainly three types
- Antenatal care service.
- Intrapartum care service (delivery care).
- 3-Postnatal care service.
Child health
Child health care is the services that are provided to the children.
Child health care sevices for the physical and emotional health, growth and nutrition and development of their capacity to reach their full potential as adults.
